Synergy Search is partnering with a well-established, growing organization to find an experienced partnership tax professional.

What you'll do:

\n
• Prepare and review complex partnership returns (Form 1065) and related schedules, including K-1s, K-2s and K-3s
\n
• Model and review partnership allocations under IRC §704(b), including capital account maintenance, substantial economic effect and target allocations
\n
• Analyze and apply §754 elections
\n
• Evaluate interest expense deductibility under IRC §163, including §163(j) business interest limitation calculations and carryforwards
\n
• Advise on transactions such as partner admissions, redemptions, transfers and restructurings
\n
• Mentor junior team members and review their work
\n

What we're looking for:

\n
• 5+ years of partnership tax experience in public accounting, a law firm or industry
\n
• Strong working knowledge of §§163, 704(b) and 754, and the ability to explain them clearly to non-tax stakeholders
\n
• Experience with real estate, private equity, investment funds or operating partnerships is a plus
\n
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with tax software (e.g., CCH, GoSystem, OneSource) is helpful
\n
